About Us

Megan Osborne and Shane McIntosh are both previous farmers, Megan in cattle and Shane in sheep and cropping. Farming has always been part of their DNA and when presented with an opportunity to purchase 20 acres in St Arnaud, their immediate thoughts were of what they could farm there.

A lamb feedlot was quickly squashed, and the idea of flowers was born. A quick site analysis assured them that the soil would suit native flowers and after Megan’s life-long love of natives, a native flower farm was born. That’s when the hard work started.

Everything on the farm was started from scratch, one day at a time and developed through research and education. Farm implements have been hand made by Shane and much joy has been had by using old tractors and old implements to develop the property. As with every farming enterprise, a steep learning curve has been had and Shane and Megan continue to develop the property with a focus on sustainability and giving back to the environment.

Megan is a member of the Sustainable Floristry Network in Australia after completing the required training in sustainable floristry.

Media Releases

Shane and Megan believe in giving back to the wonderful community they live in. In January and February 2026 they donated sunflowers to the community through the local shops where people could pay or donate any amount of money for a sunflower stem. An amazing $985 was raised that went to the Bush Fire Relief Fund through the Bendigo Bank.

Megan also lead a Pink Ladies Day workshop at St Arnaud Football and Netball Club to raise money for breast cancer research and support, donating her time and expertise to the day.

Bouquets have also been provided to community groups such as the Friends of the Library, St Arnaud Theatre Group and the Good Friday Appeal Auction at the Farmers Arms.

Shane and Megan know that flowers give people joy as well as bring memories and connections for people. They regularly give native flowers and home grown wheat to Coates Nursing Home for the residents to enjoy.
